I noticed very little out there on this paddle, and after playing with it for about 15 games, I wanted to give my 2 cents by comparing it to the other paddles I play with, rather than try and give an absolute review.
Brief Summary:
If any of the generic, good 16mm paddles somehow fit into the packaging and speed of a power air and then lost its spin, they'd call it the Diadem Icon V2.
This is a perfect do-it-all paddle for more aggressive players. It has enough power to complement an aggressive play style and is light enough to have fast hands. That being said, it's not the same power experience as a Power Air or Gearbox Power Pro. What you lose in power, you gain with touch. I never felt like my dinks or softer shots were inconsistent, which is something I've found with my power air. This paddle seems to very well reflect the amount of touch or power you put into it. The paddle feels soft, which is surprising since IT IS THERMOFORMED. That's right, this was the first paddle to be thermoformed by Diadem, and it's also the cheapest thermoformed paddle they have out there (considering there are only a few). The spin is average, which is the only thing that keeps me from making this my main pickup.
